Role Description

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, team player to join our private orthodontic office team! This is a part-time, on-site role for a clinical assistant at Wang Smiles Orthodontics.

  • Average 25-30 hours a week, 2-3 days a week
  • Previous orthodontic/dental experience preferred, but on the job training is provided
  • Compensation is based on experience

The Orthodontic/Dental Assistant will assist the orthodontist in providing high-quality patient care. Clinical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Documentation of treatment and discussions for patient charts
  • Taking records such as photos, CBCT scans, iTero scans, and impressions
  • Fabrication of retainers
  • Periodic adjustments, bracket banding and debonding, and Invisalign assistance
  • Preparing treatment areas, sterilizing instruments, reviewing inventory, and supporting general orthodontic procedures

Responsibilities will also include ensuring patient comfort during visits, assisting in educating patients about proper dental hygiene and post-treatment care. Collaboration with the team to maintain a safe and organized clinical environment is a key aspect of this role. Our office culture is positive, supportive, and team-oriented. Qualifications
  • At least 1 year job experience
  • Bilingual - Spanish is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and a patient-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
  • Prior experience in a dental or orthodontic practice is a plus
  • Commitment to maintaining professional and ethical standards in patient care
