What You’ll Do Leadership & Operations Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the dental office to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Manage staff schedules, assignments, and performance to meet office goals.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other state/federal regulations.
  • Maintain office systems, including software updates and equipment management.
Collaboration & Culture Building
  • Partner with doctors to create a positive office culture that fosters teamwork, respect, and shared success.
  • Act as a bridge between doctors and staff to ensure clear communication of goals and expectations.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and initiatives that strengthen relationships among staff members.
  • Promote an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to deliver their best work.
Collections & Financial Management
  • Manage patient financial accounts, including billing and collections processes.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments through proactive communication with patients regarding outstanding balances.

    Work with insurance providers to verify benefits and resolve claims issues efficiently.
  • Provide financial counseling to patients by explaining payment plans or financing options when needed.
Team Development & Training
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members in collaboration with the dentist.
  • Organize ongoing staff training on OSHA compliance and office policies.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate team meetings to foster collaboration and address challenges.
Strategic Planning & Compliance
  • Assist in developing office policies that align with state/federal regulations.
  • Keep employee manuals updated and ensure all required notices are displayed.
  • Securely manage records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and familiarity with dental practice operations.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements (including the HITECH Act).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to engage patients and staff alike.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing a dental or medical office is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in dental software systems (specific to our practice).
