Position Details:Title: Customer Service Representative
Position Type: 6 month contract assignment with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: Houston, TX – The office is located in the Clear Lake area, near the University of Houston Clear Lake campus and the Bayport Industrial area.
Shift: 1st Shift

Compensation: $29-$34/HR
Position OverviewSeeking a candidate with strong export experience to support order entry and end-to-end order processing within the export function. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure accurate and timely shipment execution.
Responsibilities- Follow established export processes and procedures.
- Work closely with other Export CSRs to process purchase orders from foreign agents, customers, and internal entities outside the U.S.
- Accurately enter purchase order data into the system to create sales orders.
- Read and interpret orders to prepare shipments according to current order, pallet, and shipment procedures.
- Communicate effectively with freight forwarders, warehouses, and carriers to coordinate shipments.
- Monitor, track, and trace export containers and shipments, ensuring timely updates to key stakeholders.
- Manage orders end-to-end and maintain clear visibility of order status.
- Handle high-volume data entry and transactional workloads that may fluctuate daily.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and sense of urgency throughout the export process.
- Demonstrated export knowledge, including experience with Incoterms® 2020.
- SAP experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including moderate Excel skills.
- Background knowledge of inventory processes and product management.
- Experience in distribution, detailed order entry, shipping, and the overall U.S. export supply chain.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
- Preferred:
Basic accounting knowledge and ability to function effectively in a corporate environment.
