The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.
Position SummaryThis part-time role is ideal for individuals eager to be a part of the sports entertainment industry. As a Hype Team Member, you will elevate the fan experience through high-energy performances, crowd engagement, and dynamic interactions with fans – bringing excitement, personality, and fun to every event and matchday moment.
Duties & Responsibilities- Execute high-energy performances, skits with the mascot, and crowd-leading moments with limited rehearsal time
- Engage and interact with fans in both one-on-one and group environments to drive crowd excitement
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform appearance at all games and events
- Represent Houston Dynamo FC with professionalism and pride at all times
- Other duties as assigned.
- Performance background preferred (dance, cheer, gymnastics, or related experience)
- Tumbling and acrobatic skills preferred, including standing tucks, round-off handspring variations, and basic acro tricks
- 0-1 years of experience
- Reliable and flexible availability, especially evenings and weekends
- Bilingual English/Spanish – preferred.
- Mature, professional and outgoing disposition when engaging fans, guests, and supporters
- Effective problem solvers and flexible thinker can operate confidently without regular, direct supervision.
- Thrives in a team environment
- Passionate about the Houston soccer, and sports and willing to continue learning and supporting the organization’s mission, values, and goals
- Excellent communication, collaborative, and customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in working in sports, events, or entertainment
