Overview
MD Anderson's institutional Welcome initiative prioritizes the safety, security, and comfort of all individuals who visit its campuses. The Ambassador role delivers service excellence and enhances the visitor management experience by placing Ambassadors and Lead Ambassadors at public entrances and Information Desks. Ambassadors provide clear guidance to help visitors navigate the campus, offer support upon arrival, listen to concerns, address issues, and work toward resolution, reinforcing MD Anderson's commitment to exceptional care and service.
The Ambassador role supports the Welcome initiative and influences departmental functions and overall patient and visitor satisfaction. The ideal candidate embodies MD Anderson's mission of exceptional care and service, creating a positive first impression that reflects the institution's values.
Salary Range: $37,450.00 - $42,725.00 - $48,000.00
Location & Schedule- TMC Campus
- 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- Acknowledges and greets patients and visitors and performs health screening.
- Accurately provides information and instruction pertaining to the hospital campus to patients, visitors and staff.
- Maintains a highly professional and positive attitude while dealing with customers and peers and performs multiple tasks as screener, greeter, information desk, in a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties assigned
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate's degree in related field.
- Required: Two years of customer service experience responding to customer inquiries or related experience. Bachelor's degree can be substituted for required experience.
- Preferred: Healthcare and/or Hospitality experience.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
