At Precision Glass Industries, we are seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional customer support for our custom glass manufacturing and fabrication processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing drawings, entering customer-specific requirements into our system, and ensuring seamless communication with our clients. Precision and attention to detail are paramount, as errors must be minimized to maintain our reputation for excellence.

Utilizing technology effectively and multitasking efficiently are essential components of this role.

Key

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests via phone, email, and chat, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and empathy.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions, including inquiries, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (production, purchasing, logistics, etc.) to elevate and resolve customer requests in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure accurate order entry.
  • Conduct thorough research to provide accurate and timely solutions to customer inquiries.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and support account growth through service and sales techniques.
  • Meet or exceed established performance metrics and service-level expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records by updating internal databases during and after interactions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a technical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Experience handling inbound/outbound calls, inside sales, and customer retention strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a high volume of customer requests.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in order entry and documentation.
