The City of Mont Belvieu, Texas is currently accepting applications for Hilltop Member Services - Part-time in the Parks & Recreation Department - The Hilltop Senior Center. The City of Mont Belvieu is a growing community located on IH-10 east of Houston, Texas in Chambers County.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for general member services activities such as maintaining the standards of guest services for the facility; greeting and checking-in members and guests into the facility in a courteous, efficient and encouraging manner; and knowledgeable of facility pricing, programs and policies. This position requires strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills, and a professional demeanor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet and welcome members and guests in a courteous, efficient, and encouraging manner
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of special events and volunteer programs.
  • Maintain inventory and purchase supplies and equipment needed for special events.
  • Answers questions and provides information to the public regarding events, activities and programs; investigates complaints and recommends corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints.
  • Operate and answer phone system
  • Answer a variety of questions from guests and respond to member inquiries in a timely manner
  • Be proficient in all pricing, programs, policies and guidelines throughout facility
  • Maintain member accounts; renewals, balances, payments, household changes, etc.
  • Contact members and prepare reports relating to renewals, past due balances, program rosters, special events, etc.
  • Assists with creation of Graphic designs regarding special events, programs and community activities
  • Sanitize and organize equipment and fixtures routinely
  • Be knowledgeable on operation of member-used equipment throughout facility
  • Organize and maintain all front desk, retail and common space
  • Communicate effectively with staff and patrons
  • Attend all required meeting and events including, but not limited to Special Events, In-Services, Community Events, etc.
  • Open and close facility in safe and secure manner
  • Required to work evenings and weekends
  • Assists co-workers and other departments as needed.
  • During emergency conditions, all City employees are subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situation and are expected to perform emergency service duties, as assigned.
  • Performs any and all other related duties or assignments as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends if necessary for special events.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
  • Successful candidates must pass pre-employment drug screen, job related physical and background check.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • TABC and Food Handler Certification
