Job Title: Music and Choir Director
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Reports to: Principal
Job PurposeTo inspire a love for music and to guide the children in their growth toward independence and self-discipline in a nurturing, loving way by modeling respect and creating a culture of peace. The expectation is to demonstrate an attitude of service and contribute to a cooperative atmosphere within the whole school community by living a Christ-like spirit.
Responsibilities- Guide elementary students to engage in music (violin, cello, and voice).
- Help students prepare music for special events.
- Direct orchestra practice after school twice a week.
- Guide students in singing practice.
- Guide Creative Expression class with the Adolescent students.
- Direct the adolescent musical theatrical performance.
- Direct high school musical theatrical performance.
- Communicate with parents about musical performances.
- Prepare students for all school performances.
- Support all the guides in their music understanding and presentations.
