STAR is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator / Safety Officer to support large-scale commercial electrical projects. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established electrical contractor committed to maintaining the highest safety standards across all job sites.

We are looking for a safety professional who can confidently enforce compliance, build strong relationships with field teams, and promote a proactive safety culture.

• OSHA 500 Certification Required
• 5+ years overseeing safety on large-scale commercial electrical projects
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards
• Proven experience conducting job site safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
• Experience leading toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training
• Ability to enforce safety policies while maintaining positive relationships with field crews and leadership
• Confident stopping unsafe work and implementing corrective actions when necessary

• OSHA 510 or additional safety certifications
• CPR / First Aid certification
• EM 385, CHST, or CSP (a plus)
• Experience working closely with project managers, superintendents, and foremen
• Strong documentation and reporting skills (incident reports, near-miss tracking, safety metrics)
• Ability to travel between multiple job sites
• Excellent communication skills with both field and office personnel

• Oversee and enforce all job site safety programs and policies
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety requirements
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
• Lead safety meetings, orientations, and ongoing training
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
• Promote and maintain a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization
