Volution Development Group is seeking a detail-driven, entrepreneurial-minded Estimator & Drafter to join our growing team. This full-time hybrid role is ideal for a construction professional ready to own and scale the company’s internal estimating function. Lead full‑cycle estimating for new construction and tenant improvement projects. This includes build outs for ground‑up fast food restaurants, or interior buildouts, as well as national and up‑and‑coming franchise concepts and various retail concepts.

Perform quantity takeoffs, estimation of labor & material resources, scope writing, and recommend value engineering solutions.

Drafting architectural, structural, and MEP plans.

Solicit subcontractor bids, manage outreach, and perform bid leveling.

Build estimating systems and templates to support scale and efficiency.

Coordinate internally with preconstruction, project managers, and ownership.

Assist in budget development, client proposal preparation, and project planning.

3–7 years of commercial construction estimating experience (GC or developer preferred).

Proficiency in estimating tools such as Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or Pro Est. (Procore and Buildertrend experience preferred)

Ability to interpret plans/specs and develop scopes across multiple trades.

Strong communication and coordination skills with both subcontractors and internal teams.

Familiar with both design‑bid‑build and design‑build methodologies.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and improve systems.

Privy to upcoming industry changes with AI and comfortable with using latest AI software models

Detail‑oriented, accountable, and self‑motivated.

Collaborative and effective communicator across departments.

Adaptable to changing business needs with a process‑oriented approach.
