$100k - $140k base salary aligned with experience
Blayze Group is partnering with a growing commercial contractor to appoint a Superintendent to support a strong pipeline of K-12, commercial, church, and tiltwall projects in Houston. The business is delivering structured, repeat client work and is investing in experienced field leadership to maintain quality, safety, and schedule control.
The Role- Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion, with a focus on ground-up projects
- Manage Foremen and field crews ranging from 10 to 40+ tradespeople depending on project scale (typically $40-50M in value)
- Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules and drive production against committed milestones
- Coordinate closely with Project Management to align manpower, material procurement, and equipment planning
- Enforce building code compliance, site safety standards, and quality control procedures
- Monitor productivity, resolve field conflicts, and prevent schedule slippage
- Maintain accurate daily reporting and progress tracking
Build professional relationships with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and trade partners
- Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, including K-12, churches, tiltwall, or similar institutional work
- Demonstrated ability managing sizeable crews and holding performance accountability on ground-up builds
- Strong knowledge of building codes and practical construction installation sequencing
- Experience working within structured scheduling frameworks rather than reactive jobsite management, with decent tenures at previous companies (ideally 3+ years per role)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction schedules
- Track record of delivering projects safely and on schedule
This is a contractor with consistent backlog, repeat clients, and a delivery model built on disciplined field execution. Superintendents are expected to lead, not simply observe.
