I am partnered with a highly reputable General Contractor in Houston who is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the delivery of complex commercial tenant improvement, remodel, and renovation projects.
This individual will work directly under a Lead Superintendent, playing a key role in field coordination, subcontractor oversight, and day-to-day site operations.
Project Types- Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI)
- Renovations
- Fast-track, high-end interior build-outs
- Support the Superintendent in managing daily on-site construction activities
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades
- Assist in maintaining project schedules and driving milestones
- Enforce job site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project specifications
- Participate in site walks, inspections, and subcontractor meetings
- Help manage punch lists and project close-out activities
- Maintain accurate daily reports and job documentation
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience
- Experience working directly for a General Contractor
- Hands-on experience with tenant improvement (TI), remodel, and renovation projects
- Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and field operations
- Ability to manage multiple trades in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with construction scheduling tools is a plus
