• Participate in pre-construction meetings with project teams and subcontractors.
• Evaluate hazards at job sites and pre-construction areas.
• Implement and evaluate safety programs and procedures.
• Control hazardous conditions and unsafe activities through safety management.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA and state safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents and prepare reports to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and OSHA to pursue zero accidents.
• Review plans for new machinery to ensure safety precautions are included.
• Assess hazards related to new machinery and equipment.
• Inspect jobsites for safety compliance and hazards.
• Determine safety clothing and device requirements; install safety devices.
• Conduct safety and first aid training for workers.
• Perform air quality tests for harmful gases and vapors.
• Train employees in fall protection, motorized equipment, and OSHA topics.

• OSHA 500 Certification
• Certification as CSHO
• At least 5 years of construction safety experience
