Job SummaryManage the construction aspect of the project from the site field office. Focus on field coordination, production, safety, and quality compliance for electrical construction activities.
Responsibilities- Manage all site electrical construction activities for one or more projects, emphasizing safety, schedule, budget, labor relations, and quality compliance.
- Ensure safety is the top priority across all electrical construction activities.
- Handle schedule management of electrical works, including procurement, change‑order identification, scope changes, and construction schedule maintenance.
- Plan applicable equipment types and personnel skill sets.
- Maintain accurate change logs, schedule impacts, communication logs, and receiving reports; report weekly quantities in Viewpoint.
- Coordinate equipment acquisitions and personnel requirements.
- Assist field crew as needed in a supervisory role.
- Inspect field work to ensure quality.
- Ensure quality control documentation is performed.
- Conduct pre‑task meetings with crew performing new tasks.
- Make sure crews follow drawings and specifications and have the most updated drawings in the field.
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience in line, substation, or collection system construction.
- Background in construction.
- Certification as Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or Powerline Technician preferred.
- Experience with regulated utility and renewable energy clients; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Project.
- Construction experience in medium and high voltage, plus project or construction management.
- Must be willing to travel to unanticipated project sites.
- Current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Mature, proactive, and has proven business‑partner collaboration with management.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate strategic vision into operational models.
- Effective communicator at all levels, with strong oral and written skills.
- Organizational and planning capabilities.
- Self‑motivated and proactive thinker.
- Excellent communication, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role is primarily sedentary but requires occasional filing, lifting, and handling of equipment. Must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
