OverviewWe are seeking a committed, hardworking Superintendent with both ground‑up and remodel experience to join an innovative team of trendsetters in modern construction methodologies.
Responsibilities- Maintain weekly project scheduling updates; MS Project experience is a plus.
- Implement OSHA training and safety enforcement, conduct weekly onsite toolbox meetings.
- Use Procore to complete daily reports, monitor conversations, and take daily pictures.
- Coordinate inspections and generate punch lists.
- Verify change orders and validate labor/material projections.
- Communicate assertively with Owners, Architects, and consultants on site.
- Problem‑solve proactively to understand and embrace challenges until solutions are developed.
- Maintain ethical business practices in all daily actions.
- Interpret blueprints and coordinate between architectural, structural, and MEP designs to ensure alignment.
- Schedule and motivate subcontractors to meet plans and specifications.
- Support overall construction knowledge—including cut & fill sites, utilities, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing applications.
- Keep dependable transportation and be available for after‑hours work when critical.
- Schedule weekly subcontractor meetings to discuss safety, schedule, and quality control.
- Respond promptly to office staff via email and other communication channels.
- Be punctual, accountable for meetings, and responsive to staff requests.
- Attention to detail, proactive mindset, and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Project scheduling and MS Project experience.
- OSHA 30‑hour training (preferred).
- OSHA 30‑hour training (preferred).
- Experience with Procore daily reporting and photo documentation.
- Knowledge of subcontractor change order verification.
- Strong communication skills with owners, architects, and consultants.
- Ethical business practices and adherence to safety.
- Background in both commercial and residential construction (multi‑family is not acceptable).
- Valid Texas driver’s license (out‑of‑state candidates have 60 days to obtain one).
- Non‑traveling position.
- No visa sponsorship.
- Available for overtime and after‑hours when required.
- Alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited in the workplace.
- Acceptable background checks and drug test are a condition of hire.
- Pre‑employment personality assessment to fit our culture.
- Commercial construction superintendent must have a valid Texas driver’s license (or obtain one within 60 days if out of state).
- This position is intended for a long‑term relationship.
- This is NOT a traveling superintendent position.
- ECI does NOT provide visa sponsorship.
- Commercial construction superintendents with only residential or multi‑family construction experience will not be considered.
