Civil Engineering, Operations Manager
Position Summary:
The Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects. This role coordinates with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and stakeholders to track progress, identify risks, and recommend adjustments to maintain project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Coordinate with project teams to gather progress updates and forecast completion timelines.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify delays or risks, and recommend recovery plans.
- Prepare and distribute regular schedule reports to project stakeholders.
- Support project planning meetings by presenting schedule updates and critical path analyses.
- Ensure schedules comply with contract requirements, milestones, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to align material delivery dates with schedule needs.
- Maintain historical schedule data for future reference and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a scheduler in construction projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and resource planning.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Office-based with site visits as needed.
- Collaboration with cross-functional project teams.
