We are working with a well-established General Contractor in Houston that specializes in ground-up commercial projects across K-12, Office, Healthcare, and Religious facilities. They are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team.

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for ground-up commercial projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, analyze labor, material, and time requirements.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Develop subcontractor scopes of work and issue bid packages.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and potential risks.
• Assist with budget preparation, feasibility studies, and bid proposals.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing information.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Owners throughout the preconstruction and bidding process.
• Ensure estimates are completed on time and in line with company standards.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience estimating ground-up commercial projects (K-12, Office, Healthcare, Religious, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with project teams.
