Northwoods Child Care Ministry is looking for additional caregivers for Sunday mornings. Being a caregiver is more than just a job; it is a ministry to families. Do you love children; have a dependable and enthusiastic work ethic, and a desire to serve? This could be a great job for you! Working hours include 3 hours Sunday mornings, and occasional mid-week and Friday evenings (quarterly) for 3-5 hours.
Flexible scheduling with advanced notice of monthly schedule (if you are not able to occasionally help Friday nights, you are still encouraged to apply!). Mothers can bring their children with them to work in this role (Any older children can attend the Sunday school class while you lead Childcare for the babies and toddlers or they can stay with you if they won t disrupt the little ones)

Responsibilities- Care for the children and ensure safety of children at all times
- Instruct parents to sign-in and sign-out and notify you of any allergies at drop-off
- Set up the room to create an inviting environment
- Ensure baby gate is kept locked
- Read stories and lead a bible story or craft. Coloring sheets will also be provided by the Director.
- Sing or play music with the children to create an interactive Childcare experience
- Manage personal play time in our Childcare Room
- Occasional Friday nights for our Parents Night Out program - this would look like leading crafts or activities, a lesson, then putting on a movie
- Communicate any schedule conflicts in advance when the Childrens Ministry Director is creating the schedule and please inform her in advance if you have a conflict or need a sick day.
- Easter Week we need to schedule childcare workers for Thursday, and Friday night as well as Easter Sunday. Pay is time and a half for these holidays as well as Christmas holidays.
- CPR/First Aid certification is required
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Teaching, child development and/or childcare experience is a plus.
