This position is fully in-office and based out of our Houston, TX office.
Job Overview:This position is responsible for managing the corporate strategic procurement functions for assigned supplies, equipment, and services to obtain the lowest total cost of ownership, considering quality, warranty, service, delivery, lead time, price, and other appropriate considerations.
Key Responsibilities:- Actively participate in various projects and productivity savings initiatives and demonstrate sound and logical sourcing principles to drive results.
- Solicit and negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies.
- Drive cost reduction/productivity programs consistent with the objectives set forth by the corporation.
- Closely involved with every aspect of supply chain management to maintain reliable and cost-competitive sources of supply.
- Assist the department in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Managing and updating the vehicle asset database and all vehicle-related documentation.
- Mobile Device procurement and management.
- Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time, in-full delivery per the company's needs.
- Responsible for stock issuance and returns for production activities.
- Manages the workflow to ensure purchase orders and other inventory control records are properly processed and maintained in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
- Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use.
- Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
- Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse, IT, and manufacturing to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
- Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
- Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

-5 years procurement experience - Must have the following skills:
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to follow through on tasks to Completion.
- High degree of initiative; self-starter is a must.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent customer service and supplier relations skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
