Role OverviewWe’re looking for a driven, passionate, and curious Business Development Representative (BDR/SDR) to help fuel our growth. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a sales development or outbound role who wants to build a career at the intersection of AI, industrial operations, and energy/chemicals
.
You’ll be on the front lines - identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects in chemical manufacturing and refining, and helping introduce them to a new way of thinking about Machine Learning capabilities in their operations.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect into target accounts in chemicals, refining, LNG, and related petrochemical industries
- Engage operations, engineering, and executive stakeholders through phone, Linked In, and email sequences.
- Qualify and schedule introductory/discovery meetings for the Sales team.
- Develop a strong understanding of Control Rooms.ai’s platform, value proposition, and customer use cases
- Collaborate closely with sales and leadership teams to execute messaging and outreach
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in CRM tools
- Continuously test, learn, and improve outreach strategies and talk tracks
- 1–2 years of experience in a sales development, BDR, or SDR role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and phone, Linked In, Email outreach
- Ability to learn and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Self‑motivated, organized, and resilient in a fast‑paced startup environment
- Ability to adapt & experiment with new prospecting techniques
- CRM experience (Hub Spot, SEP, or similar), comfortable with Linked In & Google tools
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks & projects
- Experience selling into or working with oil & gas, refining, or chemical manufacturing companies
- Familiarity with industrial operations, process engineering, or manufacturing environments
- Experience selling SaaS or AI-driven solutions
