Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing cargo throughput, and strengthening customer relationships across Logistec’s stevedoring and terminal operations. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships and delivering integrated port, terminal, and logistics solutions that leverage Logistec’s North American network, operational expertise, and safety-first culture.
Working closely with terminal leadership, operations, pricing, and executive teams, the Sales Manager ensures commercial strategies align with operational capabilities while maximizing terminal utilization and long-term customer value.

- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow cargo volumes, revenue, and market share across Logistec terminals.
- Identify new business opportunities in bulk, breakbulk, project cargo, forest products, steel, metals, and specialty cargo segments.
- Expand customer use of Logistec terminals by promoting multi-port and network-based solutions.
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned key accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with cargo owners, vessel operators, charterers, freight forwarders, rail partners, and logistics providers.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract renewals in coordination with operations and finance.
- Collaborate with customers to develop customized terminal and logistics solutions, including rail‑adjacent, transload, and value‑added services.
- Support initiatives that improve cargo velocity, terminal utilization, and supply chain efficiency.
- Work cross‑functionally to support customer onboarding, service expansions, and new trade development.
- Partner closely with terminal managers and operations teams to ensure sales commitments are operationally sound and executable.
- Participate in customer performance reviews and service optimization discussions.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally while reinforcing Logistec’s operational, safety, and service standards.
- Monitor market trends, trade flows, port developments, and competitive activity.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, sales pipelines, and volume forecasts.
- Support annual budgeting, long‑range planning, and terminal growth initiatives.
- Promote and reinforce Logistec’s strong safety culture and operational excellence in all customer interactions.
- Represent Logistec at industry conferences, port meetings, customer events, and trade organizations.
- Uphold Logistec’s values, professionalism, and reputation within the maritime and logistics community.
To succeed as a Sales Manager you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of commercial or business development experience within stevedoring, terminal operations, port services, or maritime logistics.
- Strong understanding of port operations, cargo handling, terminal economics, and customer supply chains.
- Proven ability to manage strategic accounts and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with operations and executive leadership.
- Willingness to travel across assigned terminals and customer locations.
