Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Field works with our customers and installers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet our expected level of quality. This is a key position in our organization and vital to our overall performance as a contractor to the builder industry. As such, the Field must be an “installer-friendly” individual and help maintain our “installer-centric” culture which is critical to our business and success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Promote a safe, injury/accident-free culture.
- Provide updated status checks on the stages of home construction.
- Manage relationships with key customer contacts.
- Initiate corrective action to emergent issues.
- Ensure installation quality is acceptable.
- Primary point of contact on customer installation issues as well as accidents and mishaps on-site.
- Work closely with GM, Director of Operations, Management team and other managers/supervisors to identify best practices in all functional areas.
- Undergraduate degree in Business or relevant field. Experience in a relative position will also be considered in lieu of college degree.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Functionality in Operations, Customer Service and Sub-Contractor Management.
- Knowledge of flooring installation systems pertaining to single family home construction.
- Highly collaborative and works well with others.
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time; to reach with hands and arms; to move among and between offices and jobsites; to handle mail and documents; to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch; to lift and move up to 50 pounds; to see well enough to discern differences in quality of documents and products.
