- Support development of external materials such as press releases, statements, website updates, and social media copy.
- Monitor news and social media for relevant coverage, issues, and stakeholder sentiment; summarize findings for Executive Leadership through the development and distribution of daily Media Clips.
- Maintain media lists, editorial calendars, boiler plates, and project message documents.
- Gather information from subject matter experts across operations, engineering, business development, and commercial teams to develop clear, accurate content on deadline without errors.
- Translate technical topics (e.g., pipeline integrity, safety, reliability, environmental compliance) into plain‑language communications.
- Develop videos, podcasts, presentations, one‑pagers, fact sheets, and employee spotlights.
- Serve on a rotating basis on the emergency response on‑call team, drafting and securing approval for media statements related to 24/7 operations. Role requires after‑hours and weekend availability as needed.
- Manage administration of the Kinder Morgan Foundation, including grant tracking, application review coordination, donation reporting, and stakeholder communications related to community investment programs.
- Assist in evaluating, customizing, and testing AI large language model (LLM) tools to enhance the communications team's research capabilities, writing workflows, and content production processes.
