RNDC is looking for an outgoing and self-motivated Division Manager Category Services to join our growing Commercial Sales team. The Division Manager will provide leadership direction for Category Consultants and facilitate partnership development with major retailers. The role focuses on applying category management principles to improve retail partners’ market performance and managing daily performance, training, and development of Category Consultants.
In this role, you will- Oversee, lead, and direct all activities of category management processes in strategic accounts, including training of department staff and reviewing all department presentations.
- Direct the Category Consultant in coordination with sales divisions and suppliers for Wine and Spirit shelf plans and standards, providing market information to assist suppliers in developing mutually beneficial business plans.
- Inform Chain Account teams with market information and direction, assist in writing category presentations, and accompany Chain Account Executives during presentations.
- Direct analytical research of syndicated market and/or retail data to evaluate wine and spirit performance.
- Evaluate category, sub‑category, and product‑level findings for presentation to senior management.
- Oversee space planning projects.
- Manage one or more subordinates, including several management and analyst positions, carrying out hiring, training, performance appraisal, and personnel management duties.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Bachelor's degree preferred; six to eight years of related experience; previous on- and off‑premise sales experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier and/or training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
