Location: Remote
IntroductionThe Inventory Planner at Carrier Enterprise is responsible for the demand management, forecasting and productivity of assigned product categories and / or suppliers using the Blue Ridge (BR) Supply Chain Planning software tool suite. The primary responsibility of the role is to support CEs sales plan and inventory productivity goals by optimizing metrics with a focus on maintaining a healthy order book.
You will collaborate closely with the HQ Product Management team to understand and execute product introductions / transitions / exits, and work to support the core item assortment. You’ll also collaborate with the Inventory Replenishment team, and be expected to take regional feedback into account when making Planning & Purchasing decisions.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the Blue Ridge software and use the dashboard to optimize metrics and address indicators; all designed to create a healthy inventory flow
- Place orders as needed and ensure transmission to suppliers
- Understand and execute the inventory flow plan for your assigned categories, as developed by Inventory Planning leadership; be able to report back on status & challenges using available data in and BI reporting tools
- Partner with Replenishment team to proactively identify sales trends that could result in potential stockouts or excess; take actions to address
- Manage Lead Times and minimum order quantities for assigned suppliers; adjust as needed to maintain healthy and efficient flow of inventory
- Track and report back to leadership on Key Performance Metrics such as turn, service level, forecast accuracy, etc.; identify causes and opportunities
- Partner with Product Management team to understand assigned categories: promotional activity, product transitions, reasons for material demand changes, complimentary items
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience using MS Excel to complete basic analytical tasks
- Experience using web-based Demand Forecasting tool (such as Blue Ridge)
- Experience using ERP system (CE uses web-based software)
