Summary of the Role

We are seeking an analyst to join our dynamic commercial operations department. In this role, you will be supporting the execution and administration of the LNG Sales and Purchases Agreement (SPAs) for our project to ensure all contractual obligations are met on time and within compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Testing and delivery of both Next Decade’s Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) system and ADP & NDS management systems.
  • Manages end‑to‑end deal entry, prepare invoices and other contract-related calculations within a transaction management system (ETRM).
  • Interface with the accounting team to ensure correct accounting of transactions and collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams within Next Decade to ensure on‑time LNG cargo delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of SPA obligations, amendments, and notices, and assist in ensuring all contract obligations are completed in accordance with the LNG Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPAs).
  • Assist in LNG Scheduling activities such as developing the Annual Delivery Program (ADP) and managing ongoing changes to the schedule via the Ninety Day Schedules (NDS) process.
  • Communicate with customers on their requests regarding cargo scheduling, operational inquiries, and other customer needs in a timely manner.
Basic Requirements
  • Undergraduate or graduate level degree in engineering or business field
  • 3+ years of experience in LNG, energy, or commodity trading within the energy industry
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines, and a team-first collaborative mentality
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and analytical technique
Preferred Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in ETRM or similar systems
  • Fluency in a second language
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.

This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
