Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and commercially savvy Business Development Specialist – Data Centers to join our team. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role will focus on identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and supporting execution of growth initiatives within the data center market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving adoption of innovative technologies such as liquid cooling and advanced thermal management.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Opportunity Identification & Market Development
- Research and qualify new business opportunities across hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise customers.
- Support expansion into adjacent technologies and emerging markets within the data center ecosystem.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategy.
- Build and nurture relationships with OEMs, integrators, consultants, and channel partners to influence buying decisions.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and tailored solutions for strategic accounts.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote offerings and strengthen brand presence.
- Manage the sales cycle for assigned opportunities, from initial engagement through contract closure.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasting in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to ensure visibility and accountability.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to achieve growth targets and KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Provide feedback from customers and partners to influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within data center or mission-critical infrastructure markets preferred.
- Familiarity with technologies such as liquid cooling, thermal management, or leak detection is a plus.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and a disciplined approach to pipeline management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30–40%.
