The Fuel Sales Manager is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for driving fuel sales growth while overseeing strategic fuel procurement across North and South America. This position combines consultative sales leadership with supplier management and market intelligence to ensure competitive pricing, reliable supply, and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will manage key client and supplier relationships, respond swiftly to complex fuel requests, and contribute to the broader commercial strategy of the Fuel Services department.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a senior fuel advisor and primary point of contact for key aviation clients, including aircraft operators, owners, brokers, and trip managers.
- Drive fuel sales revenue by providing fast, accurate, and competitive fuel quotations across global locations.
- Position UAS fuel solutions as a strategic value-add, strengthening long-term client partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and global station representatives to ensure seamless and timely fuel delivery.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through market insight, proactive communication, and service excellence.
- Support and guide junior fuel sales team members as required, sharing best practices and commercial insight.
- Build, manage, and optimize a robust network of fuel suppliers across North and South America and key global locations.
- Lead commercial negotiations with fuel suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable service levels.
- Monitor global fuel market trends and proactively adjust pricing and sourcing strategies.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized records of supplier agreements, rates, and performance metrics.
- Balance cost control with service reliability to protect margins while meeting client expectations.
- Strong background in aviation and/or logistics, with direct experience in fuel services.
- Proven experience in fuel sales, fuel procurement, ground handling, charter sales, or trip support.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow key accounts while handling high-volume, time-sensitive fuel requests.
- Confident communicator able to engage with diverse stakeholders, including flight crews, operators, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Strong understanding of complex aviation logistics, including time zone coordination, rapid turnarounds, and high-pressure operations.
- Based in Houston or willing to relocate to ensure close collaboration with the Americas team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and strong follow-through.
- Advanced experience with aviation fuel pricing platforms and tools.
- Strong knowledge of into-plane fuel vendors and airport operations.
- Excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills.
- Strong commercial and negotiation acumen.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and aviation pricing tools.
- Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on revenue growth and service quality.
