Sr Program Manager, GPO PMO at Amazon
At Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on Earth. This role is part of the Program Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for delivering Global Procurement Organization (GPO) large-scale, cross-collaboration projects, programs, and portfolios.
Responsibilities- Execute the PMO framework and governance to deliver GPO initiatives across pillars and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with GPO Leaders, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders at all levels to implement global improvement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with GPO Pillar single-threaded leaders (STLs) to ensure successful project outcomes and support the GPO Program Management Forum.
- Strong understanding of performance improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to execute multiple complex projects to successful completion.
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
- Experience implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Experience building processes, project planning, and schedules.
- Experience using PM tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project).
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
- Approximately 30% travel.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
- Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year to $185,000/year, depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
