Sr. OCM Consultant
Black & Veatch is looking for an experienced Organizational Change Manager to lead strategic change initiatives that drive business transformation and enhance organizational performance. The role leverages 10+ years of consulting experience to design and implement change management strategies aligned with business objectives, foster stakeholder engagement, and ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and behaviors.
The OpportunityIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide thought leadership for growing the OCM practice across Infrastructure Advisory (IA) and BV, including revenue and team growth, elevating OCM center‑of‑excellence, and creatively selling and delivering client‑focused change management work.
- Act as a solution advocate working in large cross‑functional proposal teams to identify client needs and optimize integrated solutions. Travel may be required 10‑40% of the time.
- Lead strategic change initiatives that drive business transformation, build leadership capability, improve organizational performance, and enable sustainable change.
- Change Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies for enterprise‑wide initiatives; conduct impact assessments and readiness evaluations to identify risks and opportunities. - Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy‑in; design and deliver clear, targeted communication plans. - Training & Performance Measurement
Create and oversee training programs to equip employees; provide regular reporting and insights on adoption and engagement. - Leadership & Coaching
Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and project teams; mentor junior consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of consulting experience, focusing on organizational change management.
- Track record of leading complex, multi‑stakeholder change initiatives in large organizations.
- Familiarity with OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, AMI, etc.) and IT systems (ERP, MES, cybersecurity).
- Expertise in change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter).
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in a business/consulting environment.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search.
Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent preferred.
Work Environment / Physical DemandsHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, performance, and work assignments.
