Commercial Sales Manager, Shipping Services

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a Commercial Sales Manager to support the Americas Sales Team in growing revenue, ensuring timely collection, and expanding our shipping services portfolio.

• Leverage industry insights and customer data to focus on value-added solutions.
• Visit every customer at least quarterly and introduce an additional product annually through Salesforce campaigns.
• Grow the sales pipeline to at least four times the target through proactive customer visits.
• Establish and maintain strong, transparent relationships across Inchcape’s organization.
• Achieve a win rate of at least 25% and ensure recurring product sales to each customer.
• Negotiate terms and conditions that support profitable, compliant business growth.
• Utilize Commercial Policies on pricing, bids, tenders, and contract negotiations to guarantee execution compliance.
• Communicate pricing initiatives and secure fair, timely payment from customers.
• Support Accounts Receivable to collect fees on time and manage escalations for overdue payments.

• Advanced verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Ability to influence and persuade at all organizational levels while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Self-directed work ethic, multitasking, and initiative within established procedures.
• Strong customer relationship management, negotiation, presentation and prioritization skills.
• Experience in commercial marketing and client network development.
• Logistics and port operations knowledge, including port agency services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within Port Agency or shipping services.
• Experience in complex, international organizations.
• External sales/business development background (3‑5 years preferred).
• Deep experience with sales planning, pipeline creation, contract negotiation, and customer engagement.
• Knowledge of multiple sector verticals (dry bulk, tanker, offshore, crew logistics, etc.).
• Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
