WhyJoin Us
Giga builds the electrical infrastructure that powers the modern world of Crypto, Data Centers, Renewables and Utilities. We manufacture transformers, switchboards, and modular data centers for customers across the United States and the globe to help scale their business critical operations. Together, our team combines fresh perspectives with deep industry experience to solve real‑world problems for our customers. We move fast and think practically.
If you're ready to make an impact in an industry that matters, we're looking for people like you.
As Inventory Control Manager, you will build and own Giga’s inventory control function from the ground up. This is a foundational role responsible for establishing the systems, processes, and physical controls required to accurately track critical electrical components—ranging from spare parts to breakers and switchboard inventory—supporting large‑scale data center and infrastructure projects.
You’ll operate in the “grey space” early on: balancing hands‑on execution (scanning, picking, pulling, and tracking inventory) with higher‑level system design, ERP integration, and team build‑out. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early‑stage environments, understands electrical supply chains, and is excited to create structure where little currently exists.
Where you’ll workThis role will be based in our Houston offices. You must be willing to work in the office full‑time outside of our bi‑weekly WFH Fridays. We’re onsite because velocity matters when you’re building physical infrastructure. Solving complex problems in real‑time with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leaders is how we move faster than a slow, antiquated industry.
Responsibilities- Build and own Giga’s inventory control function, establishing processes, controls, and systems from day one.
- Design and implement inventory workflows for scanning, picking, pulling, tracking, and staging materials for production and data center projects.
- Ensure accurate tracking of breakers, switchboard components, spare parts, and other critical electrical inventory.
- Partner closely with Procurement and Production to support purchasing decisions, lead times, and material availability and ensure accurate material transactions.
- Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy investigations to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Formalize incoming goods inspection and quality control processes to ensure material integrity.
- Establish clear chain‑of‑custody, custodial controls, and physical inventory safeguards.
- Support the selection, migration, and implementation of inventory systems, including MRP‑to‑ERP transitions and ERP sandbox testing.
- Prepare the inventory organization for scale, including the upcoming ~400 switchboard project pipeline.
- Hire, train, and develop inventory staff as volume and complexity grow.
- Provide inventory reporting, insights, and recommendations to Operations and Finance leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
- Experience working in electrical manufacturing, electrical distribution, industrial supply, or adjacent environments.
- Hands‑on experience with inventory systems, MRP, and/or ERP platforms. Must have experience leading or actively participated in an ERP/MRP implementation or system migration.
- Strong understanding of lead times, material flow, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Proven ability to operate in early‑stage or startup environments with limited existing structure.
- Comfortable being hands‑on when needed, including physical inventory handling in the early stages.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
