The Logistics Analyst will be based at our Salina, KS, distribution site and is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational data within our cold storage and distribution network. This role focuses on driving performance improvement, cost optimization, and enhanced customer service through data-driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do:- Collect, validate, and analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement in distribution and storage operations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to support labor management, inventory accuracy, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to lead problem-solving activities and implement solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and customer service.
- Support cycle counting and inventory accuracy processes; monitor key metrics impacting distribution center and network costs.
- Utilize project management tools to define requirements, track progress, and communicate results effectively.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes (e.g., DMS) and contribute to the development of communication boards and KPI tracking.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, logistics, or distribution operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with dashboarding/statistical tools; experience with ERP or WMS systems a plus.
- Demonstrated experience writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
- Ability to interpret complex data, detect trends, and present actionable insights to diverse audiences.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and warehousing processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $99,000 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance. The salary range represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
