We are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our team in Houston, TX area. To assist with the procurement and installation functions of FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment), maintenance and operations equipment, technology, and other items related to the construction of new and remodeled facilities.

• Participate in the planning and creating of Furniture, Fixture and Equipment as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of current vendor list and catalog resources.
• Prepare and finalize requisitions for the timely order of goods and services.
• Identify sources to obtain competitive prices and terms.
• Maintain files on FF&E items ordered.
• Assist with reconciliation of vendor problems, including billing disputes and warranty service issues.
• Assist clients in accessing warranty repair services when applicable.
• Work closely with program representatives to help ensure equity.
• Promote positive relationships with schools, departments, vendors, and the community.
• Attendance at work is an essential function.
• Monitor assembly and installation of furniture at facilities, some may occur on weekends.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including assisting project managers during design, construction, and project closeout activities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Certification.
• 40 credited college hours or 4 years of experience in school business, governmental accounting, construction management or combination thereof
• Possess a current valid state issued drivers and meet company's auto insurability requirements.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc. Ability to effectively communicate information both written and oral and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
