Job Overview

The Pricing Analyst plays a key role in pricing operational efficiency through data‑driven insights and analytical excellence. This role combines advanced data analysis with a strategic understanding of pricing and contractual processes to identify trends, uncover risks, and recommend solutions that enhance profitability and improve processes. The Analyst supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of pricing, reporting, and data analysis tools across the organization.

Working closely with cross‑functional teams – including Sales, Supply Chain, Legal, Operations, and Finance – the role ensures consistent adherence to pricing policies, accurate execution of customer agreements, and proactive identification of improvement opportunities. By transforming data into actionable insights, the Pricing Analyst helps drive informed decision‑making, streamline pricing operations, and strengthen MRC Global’s commitment to delivering transparent, compliant, and customer‑focused solutions.

Essential

Duties And Responsibilities Reporting and Insights
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and tools to track pricing performance, compliance metrics, and profitability trends.
  • Present analytical findings and insights to management, supporting strategic decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular compliance summaries and exception reports to highlight areas of concern or potential efficiency gains.
  • Develop and publish company‑wide data analysis tools using data platforms such as Power Bi, BI and Snowflake.
Pricing Analysis
  • Analyze customer pricing and contract data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and validate pricing accuracy across contracts and systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer agreements.
  • Evaluate the impact of market fluctuations and cost changes on pricing structures, recommending adjustments as needed.
Process Improvement & Optimization
  • Identify and recommend process enhancements to streamline pricing compliance and contract review operations.
  • Participate in the development and rollout of tools, templates, and automation that increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects that align pricing and profit strategies with broader business goals.
Education, Experience & Ability Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a time‑sensitive environment, with experience in data analysis and business analytics preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL or Python coding languages;
    Java, C#, or C++ will be taken into consideration.
  • Competency in Power

    BI reporting and creating Power

    BI reports utilizing the company’s Semantic Model.
  • Strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret data, create interactive visualizations, and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and with cross‑functional teams while explaining technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Additional Qualifications
  • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.
