THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Marketing Coordinator, you’ll join SPE’s global membership marketing team to support in campaign execution, content updates, trade show activities, design, and member communications. You’ll help keep projects running smoothly by managing day‑to‑day operational and administrative tasks, while collaborating with senior staff and program leads.

This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who is highly organised, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment. It’s a hands‑on position where you’ll gain valuable experience across a wide range of marketing activities.

THE

IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE IN THIS ROLE Campaign Execution & Coordination
  • Set up membership marketing campaigns by preparing email drafts, gathering links, proofreading text, and uploading content.
  • Support the scheduling of emails and basic coordination of visuals with the design team or other stakeholders.
  • Maintain organised and accurate campaign calendars, ensuring deadlines are updated and communicated.
  • Assist with simple design tasks in Canva (resizing graphics, updating text, exporting formats) and preparing supporting campaign materials.
  • Support drafting marketing content (short email blurbs, social copy) based on guidance and approved templates.
  • Assist with setting up automated email flows under supervision and verify that triggers and lists are correct.
Trade Show
  • Support administrative and logistical preparation for SPE’s Membership Pavilion and other event presences including preparation of materials, tracking deliverables, checklists, and vendor requirements, ensuring files and documents are updated on time.
  • Represent SPE at relevant trade shows by staffing the booth, engaging with attendees, and supporting on‑the‑ground event coordination.
Stakeholder & Content Coordination
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to collect updated content and ensure membership information is accurate and current.
  • Update content across platforms (copy changes, updated links, benefit updates) under clear instructions from the team.
  • Support the preparation of content for the monthly global newsletter (gathering highlights, preparing drafts).
  • Maintain and update the content calendar of member program promotions, ensuring tasks are completed across web, email, and social as directed.
Analytics & Administrative Support
  • Prepare data files and track key campaign performance metrics (email opens, clicks, engagement) for reporting.
  • Monitor GA4 dashboards and provide regular updates on campaign performance to the team.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and small admin reports as needed.
  • Handle operational tasks that free up capacity for senior team members.
  • Assist with processing membership marketing expenses and keeping expense documentation organised.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience supporting marketing activities.
