The Supervisor of Materials Management plays a key role within the Materials Management Services department, ensuring reliable inventory, logistics support, and seamless operational workflows that directly impact patient care and research activities. This role oversees daily operations across multiple functional areas—including inventory, receiving, asset control, finance, linen, equipment, and warehouse services—ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance always. As part of a large, complex service environment, the Supervisor of Materials Management provides leadership, training, and coordination to staff while maintaining strict operational standards across systems and processes.

The ideal candidate brings experience in inventory and logistics operations with demonstrated supervisory skills. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s or bachelor's degree, experience managing high‑volume inventory or materials‑handling environments, and strong competency with inventory management systems, handheld devices, and materials management workflows. Candidates with structured leadership training or accelerated leadership program completion are also well suited for this role.
The typical work schedule is Nights, 11pm-8am, onsite. (Sundays - Thursdays)

- Supervise placement of approved supply orders through automated par level systems or manual processes during outages.
- Participate in inventory preparation and execution across assigned areas.
- Oversee data access and task execution across materials management, point of use, patient charge labeling, linen management, package tracking, institutional mail, and other systems.
- Verify inventory against physical counts and address discrepancies.
- Direct proper storage, labeling, and organization of all supplies and equipment.
- Inspect stock for wear, defects, or expiration; document and report issues.
- Oversee unloading, breakdown, labeling, and distribution of incoming materials.
- Ensure accurate receipt and documentation of all inbound supplies, linen, and equipment.
- Maintain and review issue/receipt records, quality assurance documentation, and safety compliance logs.
- Supervise routine maintenance and inspections of materials handling equipment.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas for safety compliance.
- Assist in coordination of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Oversee preparation and accuracy of emergency carts and required checks.
- Drive scheduled and unscheduled delivery routes; maintain driver logs and fuel documentation.
- Support receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing capital, controlled, salvage, and surplus equipment.
