Job DescriptionPURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Executive Director, Accessibility Services and Resources is responsible for collaborating with members of the System to proactively create usable, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environments for the System's community. Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, Board Policies, and Chancellor's Procedures in relation to disability services, reasonable accommodations, and accessibility programs. Provides leadership to direct strategy and initiatives for ensuring compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) and the revisions under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Develops, oversees, and evaluates business processes associated with the accessibility services and programs. In partnership with the Sr. AVC, OGAC and other key College collaborators participates in the facilitation of LSC's alternative dispute resolution processes to achieve informal resolution of ADA related concerns. Serves as the System's ADA Coordinator.
