Openwork is partnering with Harris County to recruit dedicated, detail-oriented professionals to join the Voter Registration Division as Temporary Voter Clerks
. This assignment offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of voter registration services that support millions of residents during critical election periods.

This is a strictly nonpartisan public service role requiring professionalism, neutrality, and a strong commitment to public trust.
What You Will Do- Accurately process voter registration applications, updates, and cancellations.
- Review forms and documentation to ensure compliance with election requirements.
- Enter and maintain voter information in secure county databases.
- Assist voters courteously and professionally by phone, email, mail, and in person.
- Provide clear, neutral guidance regarding voter registration procedures.
- Organize, scan, and securely file official voter records.
- Meet critical deadlines during high-volume election periods.
- Follow all county regulations and nonpartisan standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience.
- Strong data entry skills and comfort with basic computer systems.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply election procedures.
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute (skills assessment required).
- Exceptional attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
- Dependable attendance and a strong sense of accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with elections, voter registration, or government services.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Chinese, or Vietnamese.
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
