Job Summary

The Part-Time Marketing Coordinator provides hands-on support to the Marketing team by managing branded materials, coordinating internal initiatives, supporting sales and engineering needs, and assisting with company events and career fairs. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys juggling a variety of tasks and working cross-functionally. This position is part-time (20-25 hours per week) and is based on-site in Houston.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage apparel and merchandise, including ordering, researching new items, organizing swag closet inventory, shipping orders, and coordinating vendor searches.
  • Maintain sales materials inventory, including tracking orders, quantities, and shipment dates.
  • Coordinate color chips and panel samples by ordering internally, labeling, organizing, and shipping.
  • Support content management by downloading and archiving drone footage and videos and assisting with blog publishing.
  • Plan and manage internal contests and engagement events (e.g., Halloween, Christmas, Easter, themed Fridays).
  • Provide sales support by booking hotel rooms, flights, conference rooms, transportation, and assisting with presentation graphics.
  • Support engineering initiatives, including career fairs and ordering installation manuals for Houston and Tallapoosa locations.
  • Assist with career fair preparation and logistics.
  • Review Linked In profiles to identify Whirlwind Steel team members who need updated photos.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting additional marketing, sales, or operational initiatives as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in marketing coordination, administrative support, or even coordination is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with basic design tools or marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Houston.
Work Schedule
  • Part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
  • In-person role based in Houston.
