Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join our Houston office. This position will provide administrative and operational support across benefits. This role assists with biweekly benefits payroll auditing, benefits billing and funding, audits and reconciles weekly data integrations with vendors, prepares recurring reports, maintains documentation, and helps ensure employee information is accurate and up to date.
The Coordinator works closely with the Benefits Manager to keep day-to-day processes running smoothly and to support team members with routine questions and requests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with biweekly benefit payroll audit by reviewing data, providing updates, changes, and corrections, updating leave of absence status, and ensuring all supporting documentation is saved and organized
- Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports related to benefits
- Partner with HRIS team on testing and troubleshooting benefit related tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Review weekly vendor integrations ensuring complete and accurate data
- Support monthly/weekly benefits billing by reviewing invoices, comparing them to system records, and flagging discrepancies for follow-up
- Review 401(k) change files and loan repayment reports to ensure accuracy
- Support compliance and audit requests by pulling documentation, running reports, and organizing files as needed
- Assists with HR initiatives and special projects

Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years of payroll or benefits/retirement plans experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
- Strong communication, both written and oral
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry skills, and ability to learn new programs and systems quickly
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll systems (Workday preferred)
- Highly organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to identify and analyze issues and problems; recommend and implement solutions; and respond effectively to sensitive inquires and complaints
- Demonstrated ability to work, manage, and meet competing deadlines
- Integrity and good judgment when handling confidential information
- Ability to remain professional throughout stressful situations, and resolve problems with creativity, confidentiality and tact
- Responsive, and ability to be available, including outside of regular business hours in an emergency or high priority situation
