Qualifications/SkillsEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent.

Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Minimum Assessment Standard:
Broad knowledge of MS Word and broad knowledge of MS Excel. - Ability to operate various office equipment.
Experience:
- Previous clerical work experience.
- Clerical Support: Maintain physical and computerized departmental files.
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks, including simple arithmetic operations, for the department.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and conferences. Coordinate and hold office meetings.
- Assist in registration of new accounts.
- Assist with office equipment.
- Maintain and handle all work orders, maintenance requests and campus site licenses.
- Monitor maintenance requests to ensure the campus is in compliance with city ordinances; contact maintenance if not compliant.
- Arrange and schedule AC for school activities (before and after school).
- Communication: Answer incoming calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
- Provide courteous customer service tasks.
- Greet and help school visitors, teachers and substitutes.
- Records, Reports and Payroll: Assist in maintaining accounting records using the district computer systems.
- Input data and maintain records for payroll including general operating fund accounts.
- Maintain purchasing records and collect and deposit monies for various district programs.
- Prepare various periodic reports such as professional and paraprofessional payroll.
- Other: Participate in cross-training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Equipment Used: Computer and various office equipment.
Working ConditionsMental Demands:
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Work with frequent interruptions.
- This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.
Physical Demands:
- Repetitive hand motions.
- Prolonged use of the computer.
- Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
- Moving small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment and other campus equipment.
Wage/Hour Status: Non-exempt
