Part-Time Coordinator I, Student Services Support

Location: LSC-North Harris, Houston, TX 77073

Job Type: Regular, Part‑Time

Purpose and Scope

The PT Coordinator I, Student Services Support will provide detailed, task‑oriented support to the Dean, Student Services. The individual will perform standard administrative work and ensure daily operations within student services run efficiently. Responsibilities include assisting the Dean with enrollment campaigns, analyzing student accounts, handling sensitive and confidential records.

Essential Job Functions
  • Utilize MS Office and other programs to enter, track and maintain data including documents, spreadsheets and databases related to student records.
  • Review and summarize student population campaign data and communicate results to leadership.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating student services campus events (Open House, Super Saturday, and other enrollment events).
  • Attend meetings, committees and events; may compile meeting minutes and disseminate information to employees as needed.
  • Assist students as needed, including processing documents and correspondence, answering general questions and troubleshooting minor student account issues.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for projects and notify employees in the student success division of necessary deadlines.
  • Perform and/or assist with clerical work as needed, including coordinating department and management calendars, planning schedules and coordinating meetings/seminars/events, site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, monitoring resources, and other general support.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Physical Abilities

The work is sedentary. The employee typically sits comfortably to perform the work but may also walk, stand, bend, carry light items such as papers or books, or drive an automobile. No special physical demands are required.

Work Schedule & Conditions
  • Equipment used includes a PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.
  • Work performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate: $17.58
