Staff Accountant

Description

We are partnering with an industry leader to add a skilled Accountant to their team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will manage various accounting functions, including reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform costing and inventory reconciliations

- Reconcile accounts such as Accounts Receivable, Notes Receivable, and Bad Debt Allowance.

- Maintain and reconcile miscellaneous accruals to ensure accurate reporting.

- Manage accounting processes for specific partnership entities.

- Generate monthly gross profit and expense analyses for sales and partnership divisions.

- Assist with general ledger maintenance, internal reporting, and month-end close procedures.

- Provide support for financial analysis and audit preparation as required.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience in accounting roles.

- Strong skills in reconciliation and financial analysis.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

- Familiarity with Pivot Tables and data analysis tools.
