Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Mentor IMC is seeking an Accountant to oversee our financial operations in the Americas Region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, understanding of accounting principles, and aptitude for learning and conducting oneself in an international organization.

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
• Assist with vendor payments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Aptitude and desire to learn.
• Ability to travel abroad.
• Spanish and/or French a plus
