Senior Property Accountant

A company in the Bellaire area is seeking a Senior Accountant for a permanent opportunity.

Commercial real estate company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Looking for someone with a great work ethic who works well with others. This person will complete monthly financials for 10-12 properties; review payables/receivables; daily account analysis for money market investments; perform monthly bank reconciliations; provide financial information to auditors, tax consultants, lenders, and partners; responsible for the coordination and completion of annual budgets;

assist in the preparation of recoveries, 1099 & sales tax; coordinate tax return preparation; completion of monthly/quarterly cash analysis, monthly/quarterly distributions & quarterly investor reports; and may be involved in preparation of construction draws and other special projects assigned by the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Commercial real estate accounting experience with a focus on retail.
• Must have solid financial reporting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Currently using Yardi; strong knowledge of this real estate software is a plus.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
