Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant who is early in their accounting career and eager to grow. This is a temp-to-hire role with the long-term goal of converting to a permanent position for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience, values mentorship, and is excited to build a strong accounting foundation in a structured, in-office environment. The team prefers someone trainable and motivated rather than a fully seasoned accountant.

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Support invoicing, collections follow-ups, and vendor payments
• Assist with journal entries and month‑end close processes
• Help maintain accuracy within the general ledger
• Support day‑to‑day accounting and administrative tasks as needed
• Learn internal accounting processes through hands‑on training

• Entry‑level to early‑junior accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills are required)
• Basic familiarity with AP/AR concepts
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
• Able to work independently after training
• Open to a 100% in‑office role in Houston
