Staff Accountant

Piper Maddox are partnered with a leading land organization who play a critical role int eh us Energy Industry. Our client are a highly successful capital land owner and capital provider providing companies with solutions to own large portfolios of real estate to build clean energy project across the US.

With close $1bl+ in capital deployed this organization are highly successful, and are looking for a experienced Accounts Payable professional to join their complex finance function.

What you will do:

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (three-way match)
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Maintain vendor files and ensure proper documentation
• Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support senior leadership on timely processing of invoices and bank transactions.

What you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
