A growing independent E&P company is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant to own the full revenue accounting cycle for operated and non-operated properties. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to leadership, meaningful process improvement work, and strong growth upside as the company continues executing acquisitions and expansion plans.

- Concrete growth plan: acquisitions, capital raising, and expanding operational complexity
You will manage the complete revenue accounting cycle and support continuous improvement across systems and workflows, including:
- Process and reconcile monthly oil & gas revenue; validate royalty and working interest distributions
- Interpret marketing agreements and reconcile purchaser statements for volumes, pricing, and deductions
- Prepare journal entries for revenue, transportation, processing fees, and applicable taxes
- Reconcile revenue-related GL accounts; research and resolve variances/discrepancies
- Prepare and file severance and royalty tax reports in compliance with state/federal requirements
- Process non-op revenue and JIBs
- Support month-end/quarter-end close (accruals, variance analysis)
- Partner cross-functionally with land, production, and operations teams to ensure accurate data integration
- Drive automation and process improvements (specifically seeking someone who challenges the status quo and streamlines workflows)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred, not required)
- 5–7+ years of upstream oil & gas revenue accounting experience (must-have)
- Advanced Excel + strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with revenue/accounting systems (ie OGSYS/OGPro,
Quorum On Demand Accounting
) - Familiarity with Energy Link preferred
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and organized
- Enjoys a “wear multiple hats” environment and learning backup coverage for other cycles
- Process-improvement mindset (not just a “do-er”) — the team values initiative, automation, and scalability
