Job Type: Full-time

The Chief Accountant owns day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for the company, serving as the senior technical accounting lead within a lean finance organization. This role is hands-on and critical to maintaining accurate books, scalable processes, and audit-ready financials as the company grows.

• Works closely with:
  Founders, FP&A, Operations, HR
• Manages:
  Small accounting team or external vendors (AP, payroll, tax)

• Own monthly close and GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Maintain general ledger, reconciliations, and accounting policies
• Handle complex areas (revenue recognition, equity, accruals)
• Build and improve processes that scale with growth
• Support audits, investor reporting, and fundraising diligence

• Senior enough to own accuracy and judgment
• Hands-on enough to execute without layers
• Process-oriented but not bureaucratic
• Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment

• Not a purely strategic CFO role
• Not overly siloed — this role touches many functions

• 6–10+ years accounting experience
• Strong US GAAP knowledge (CPA preferred)
• Startup or high-growth company experience
• Comfortable building structure where none exists yet
